 Newer model iPod not charging
Solution With the release of the newest generation iPods, Apple have removed the previous functionality which charged the iPod via the Firewire input. As a result, many accessory interfaces (including some of Apple's own) no longer charge late model iPods (Touch 2G, Nano 4G, 3G iPhone and later).

If this proves to be a problem for the user, Scosche offer an in-line plug in adaptor which connects the Firewire charging output from the interface to the USB charging input on the iPod, restoring in-car or accessory charging functionality.

The Scosche Passport can be purchased from Apple's UK store.
